Ah, Bollywood! The glitz and glamor of modern day movies have morphed from the already complex mix of drama, comedy, tragedy, dance, romance and melodrama - with the minimum requisite song and dance numbers too.

If you have time, you can watch this full-length YouTube movie called Laila Majnu. Two hours and twenty-six minutes of drama, action, romance, song and dance. It is well shot, great costuming. Unfortunately, it doesn't have subtitles, but there are 'tubes' that have them. The history behind this movie is available to read.

Mera Naam Joker is a film about a clown who must make his audience laugh at the cost of his own sorrows. Here is the song that sums up the life of circus clowns (and artists): Jeena Yahan,Marna Yahan. This movie is directed by and stars Raj Kapoor himself.
And of course, one of India's most famous Bollywood movie: Bobby! Here is the song that set Indian film goer's imagination on fire: “Hum Tum Ek Kamre Mein Band Hu”. Translated, ‘what if we were locked inside a room and the key is lost?’ This move was a top-top hit after Kapoor's Mera Nam Joker flopped at the box office even though it was a brilliant movie.
